Backgrounds
Meta Knight
He is no borb.
Meta Knight is a mysterious masked swordsman who first appeared in Kirby’s Adventure for the NES, where he would either throw an Invincibility Candy at Kirby or summon forth his underlings, the Meta-Knights to fight against Kirby, until he is fought and defeated in the penultimate level, Orange Ocean. In his next mainline appearance in Kirby Super Star, he becomes the main villain of the eponymous sub-game “Revenge of Meta Knight”, where he and his crew launch the Battleship Halberd in order to take over Dream Land, where Kirby must stop Meta Knight’s ambitions under a time limit. In the games afterwards, Meta Knight becomes an ally of sorts to Kirby, with the only game where he opposes Kirby of his own will being Kirby: Squeak Squad, where he manages to re-launch the Halberd. Between those, however, he revealed the truth of the Meta Knight that the Kirbies encounter in the Mirror World, helped fix the Lor Starcutter (and promptly defeat Magolor), and helped take on Star Dream.
However, when purple hearts rained from the sky one day, Meta Knight had his secret ambitions locked away suddenly resurfaced. To that end, he secluded himself in the Sacred Square, where he would face off against Kirby and Friends, revealing his own Geokinesis. In the most recent game chronologically, Kirby & the Forgotten Land, Meta Knight is the last opponent faced in the Meta Knight cup, where he tests Kirby to see if he’s truly ready to face off against what lies in the Forgotten Land.
Valvarad
“What a Ridiculous Joke…” would definitely be his reaction to fighting someone like Meta Knight.
Spanner Kurogane is a highly skilled member of the Alchemists’ Union, who first went into action against the Malgams during the appearance of the Submarine Malgam, transforming into the armored fighter Valvarad. Afterwards he becomes the rival to the main protagonist of the season, Kamen Rider Gotchard, in who will obtain all 100 Chemies first, mainly due to opposing views on the Chemies themselves. However, despite how impressive Valvarad was at first, Spanner quickly started losing battles more than he won, which ultimately culminated in him losing all three Chemies he had on hand to Geryon and the Abysallis Sisters as they took over the Alchemists’ Union. Spanner one day receives a visit from his parents, unbeknown to him, his parents were long deceased. This too was a plot by Geryon, this time to try to get the power of the Black Flame on his side, using the Angel Malgam to resurrect Spanner’s parents. Using the Angel Malgam to fill Spanner with Rage, Geryon manages to turn him into the Wheel Malgam. Ultimately deciding to let go of his vengeance, however, he finds a new purpose in his life, and with the Chemy MadWheel transforming into MachWheel, he becomes Kamen Rider Valvarad, fighting to ensure a future for everyone.
Eventually, once the Abysallis King Gaelijah reveals the truth of the Chemies to the world at large, Spanner decides that to end the chaos that they caused, he would take all Chemies into himself and take out the Abysallis Kings, at the cost of his own life. Not wanting this to happen to his friend, Hotaro confronted Spanner over this and the two fought, leading to Gotchard winning and the Valvaradriver being destroyed. Afterwards, he was found by Fuga Kudo and was brought to his current residence, where he was allowed to make do with Fuga’s materials to create a new Driver. However, the Abysallis King Gigist arrived and caused Spanner to flee the scene. Ultimately deciding to accept Hotaro’s wish for coexistence between humans and Chemies, he transforms into Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane and brings an end to Gigist. However, it was soon afterwards that a life would be lost as a result of the last fragment of the Philosopher’s stone coming out of Gigist.
Experience
Meta Knight
What exactly is the timeframe between Meta Knight starting fighting and appearance during the Nightmare Incident is unknown, though it can be inferred that Meta Knight fought for a while before the events of Kirby’s Dream Land. With his blade in hand, Meta Knight has fought against the same type of foes that Kirby has, such as Whispy Woods and Kracko, alongside being capable of fighting off Gorimondo, a member of the Beast Pack at least 30 times while Kirby was away in far off regions of the New World. In the sub-game Meta Knightmare Returns he was capable of fighting against Haltmann, a Dark Matter Clone, a clone of Queen Sectonia, and Galacta Knight in quick succession as well.
Valvarad
Having been an alchemist specializing in mechanical engineering alchemy for at least a decade (going off the tombstone of his parents),Spanner is a Special A-Ranked Alchemist in that specific field. With it, he can fight off against Malgams who can do things such as turn the ground below them into a water-like substance so they can have the advantage, sprout roots from the ground wherever, and even bring people back from the dead. Since becoming Kamen Rider Valvarad, his power had improved a considerable amount, such as being able to defeat a weakened Kamen Rider Dread Type 3, as well as Fighting against Kamen Rider Rainbow Gotchard and bringing him down to Gotchard Steamhopper.
Equipment
Meta Knight
Galaxia
The Anime’s largest contribution to Meta Knight.
Meta Knight’s sword that he uses in combat, originating from Kirby: Right Back at Ya! Before eventually making it to the games starting with Kirby: Air Ride. The sword is able to fire off beams of energy known as Sword Beams when Meta Knight is at full health, and he can summon forth Powerful Tornadoes if he plants the sword into the ground. It can also be imbued with the elements such as Fire, Ice, Lighting, Water, and Wind to add some extra effects to Meta Knight’s already-impressive arsenal.
Nightmare Incident Sword
Yeah, this was a different sword all along.
This Sword, named as such due to appearing in the games Adventure and Nightmare in Dream Land, is a sword that Meta Knight used before he obtained Galaxia. Notably, it was presumed that this sword was the same as Galaxia until his fight in Kirby & the Forgotten Land, where if you knock off Galaxia from him and inhale it, he will bring this sword out to replace Galaxia.
Dimensional Cape
Did you know that Nobara from Jujutsu Kaisen probably mained Meta Knight in Brawl?
The cape that Meta Knight wears, which allows him to teleport to another place when he covers himself entirely with it. In the main games he only uses this ability to flee from the scene whenever he is defeated by Kirby and has seen more usage in Super Smash Bros. as his Down Special. He can also use his cape to surround his enemies in darkness while slashing at them, more on that later.
Though most important about the Dimensional Cape, however, is that he can transform it into a set of wings he can use to fly, having first shown off that ability to prevent Kirby from escaping the crashing Halberd.
Friend Hearts
Fate Testarossa: Somehow not the only Char Clone to know of the power of Befriending
Friend Hearts are an object introduced in Kirby Star Allies, granted to Kirby when Hyness does a ritual with the Jamba Heart, spreading many different Hearts across the Galaxy, with a pink one landing on Kirby and granting him the power of Befriending (outside of the usual beat the shit out of your foe deal that Befriending usually means). As a Dream Friend, Meta Knight is capable of calling upon friend hearts and use them to gain more allies.
Valvarad
Alchemist Ring
The Mace Windu’s Lightsaber of Alchemist Rings. No Seriously.
A special type of ring that Spanner, and all Alchemists in the world of Gotchard, use in order to preform Alchemy. Prior to becoming Kamen Rider Valvarad, this was originally a green color.
Chemies
All the Chemies that Spanner has used. Madwheel straight up is a 3 stage Pokemon.
Artificial Beings created by Alchemists long ago that serve as the main transformation item for the Gotchard Riders. As Kamen Rider Valvarad, Spanner uses Vehicle and Occult-type Chemies to transform into his Rider form. His Chemies on hand include Madwheel, Gutshovel, Gekiocopter, Daioni, JyamatanoOrochi, and Angelead. Madwheel evolves into Machwheel to make up the base form of Kamen Rider Valvarad alongside Daioni, where they both have further evolved forms known as Metal Machwheel and Metal Daioni that allow Spanner to access his Final Form, Valvarad Kurogane.
At the end of Kamen Rider Gotchard, due to the defeat of Kamen Rider Eldo, all Chemies (with the exception of Nijigon) had gained a fragment of the Philosopher’s stone, giving Valvarad up to 4% of its power when transformed.
Draw Holder
A stylish way to store your Pokémon cards
A card holder that allows Spanner to hold up to 20 Ride Chemy Cards, though he only has 6 on hand. Was known as the Valvaradraw Buckle before he became a Kamen Rider.
Valvarusher
There’s nothing you can fix in the world that can’t be done by hitting it with a sword
Spanner’s main sword used in combat, which can have the Chemy MadWheel inserted into its Liberta Ratchet (that's the name of the part of it where the Chemies go) so he can transform into Valvarad. He can also insert the Chemies Gutsshovel and Gekiocopter to access alternate forms known as Customs. Since obtaining the Valvaradriver, however, Spanner has exclusively used it for combat purposes. It also has the ability to fire off bolts of light known as Photon Bullets, which can be combined with a Chemy’s to give it the effects of the Chemies’ ability.
Valvarusher II
A second Valvarusher made by Kyoka Edami for use by the Abysallis Sister Lachesis after the latter turned to the side of the heroes. It is functionally identical to the original Valvarusher. Spanner gains the second Valvarusher when Lachesis is injured by the Abysallis King Gigist, using both blades in his final form, Valvarad Kurogane.
Valvaradriver
(Robotic Voice) DÁINSLEIF.
The transformation device that Spanner uses to become Kamen Rider Valvarad. Based off the Gotchardriver, the Valvaradriver functions somewhat identically to the Gotchardriver, though the Chemies needing to have a matching number instead of having to equal the number ten in their cards. It also comes built in with a GotchaIgniter, an add-on to the Gotchardriver that allowed Hotaro to become Fire Gotchard, which gave him the strength to take out a Golden Malgam (a type of Malgam that was able to regenerate from an attack that would have otherwise destroyed it). Ultimately, however, the Valvaradriver was destroyed when Hotaro and Spanner faced off against each other near the end of the series.
Valvaradriver Kurogane
“Tonight, I rebuild my Driver, Rinne fuses with Atropos, and Hotaro creates another planet.”
A second Valvaradriver created by Spanner directly following his attempt at bringing all 100 Chemies into himself and the resulting fight against Gotchard, which destroyed the original Valvaradriver. This was formed when Spanner mastered the Black Flames, which evolved into Silver Flames. Alongside Machwheel and Daioni’s evolutions into their Metal Forms, Spanner uses this to Transform into Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane, his final form in the series.
Due to the uncertainties of whether or not he can still access his previous forms with the Valvaradriver Kurogane, this will be listed alongside the original Valvaradriver.
Abilities
Meta Knight
Knight Beam/Crescent Shot
If he doesn’t know what he fights for, it becomes a Genmu Zero. If he is an idol, it becomes a Blue Flash.
A move that Meta Knight can fire off from Galaxia while he is usually at full health, firing off a beam of Energy. He can alternatively fire off a Crescent Shot, which is larger and (obviously) crescent-shaped, and these ones do not depend on whether or not Meta Knight is at full health.
Mach Tornado
The Borb-Nado
Meta Knight’s standard special in Super Smash Bros. With this, he spins around with his sword, turning into a Cyclone of wind that can hit his enemies while they can’t do anything to attack, similar to the power granted by Kirby’s Tornado Ability. To note however is that in Kirby Planet Robobot, the Mach Tornado instead functions similar to one of Sword Kirby’s attacks and is more in name only.
Drill Rush
Last Meta-Or
Meta Knight’s side special in Super Smash Bros. With this he spins and charges towards the enemy, drilling through whatever defenses that they may have in place.
Shuttle Loop
I will admit my first game was SSB4 3DS and I thought that Meta Knight’s Up Special was what made him so broken in Brawl. Turns out it was a multitude of factors.
Meta Knight’s up special in Super Smash Bros. With this attack Meta Knight jumps up and flies in a loop, hitting whoever touches his blade. For a short while he can also glide in the air using his wings as well (Outside of Smash 4 and Ultimate, as Gliding was removed in 4)
Dimensional Strike
(Teleports behind you) “Nothing Personel, Kirb”
Meta Knight’s down special in Super Smash Bros, named as such in Kirby: Battle Royale. Using the Dimensional Cape, Meta Knight vanishes for a short while before reappearing to strike at the opponent.
Galactic Counter
He picked this one up from Marth and Ike from when they were war buddies
A Move that Meta Knight can perform starting with Kirby Star Allies. In this state Meta Knight takes a stance and if he gets it by anything except other friends, he will counterattack whoever hits him.
Galaxia Darkness
The real reason Meta Knight’s final smash was changed was because Galaxia Darkness became a Modern Kirby thing. Please ignore the Ultra Sword being Kirby’s final smash since 4 and Masked Dedede.
Meta Knight’s original final smash from Super Smash Bros. Brawl and 4, which appeared as a command in Meta Knightmare Returns. To preform this, Meta Knight covers the opponent under the Dimensional Cape, surrounding them in Darkness, then proceeds to quickly slash them, blowing everyone caught in the slash away.
Other Meta Knightmare commands
Healing
You can either go a bit faster, heal up, send dudes, or nuke everyone
A command that appears in both Meta Knightmare Ultra and Meta Knightmare Returns. With this, Meta Knight can heal himself back to full health, no matter where his health is currently. This is equivalent to Kirby using a Maxim Tomato.
Meta Quick
A command that, like Meta Knight’s healing ability, appears in both Meta Knightmare Ultra and Returns. With this, Meta Knight can increase his speed by a good amount for a limited time.
Knight Call
A command that only appears in Meta Knightmare Ultra. Using this, he can call forth a Sword Knight or a Blade Knight to help him out.
Meta Knightmares
"Leave the Black Knights to us"
A command that only appears in Meta Knightmare Returns and is the game's main screen nuke. Meta Knight uses a variation of Knight Call to summon the Meta-Knights (Axe Knight, Mace Knight, Javelin Knight, and Trident Knight) to clear the screen
Tornado Slash
One of Meta Knight’s most powerful attacks, Meta Knight plants his sword into the ground, calling forth a powerful tornado that can sweep up anyone who gets in it (except for anyone who’s used Stone’s invulnerability. That should be said as well)
Mach Tornado + Tornado Slash Combination
There’s no actual name for this specific variant of Mach Tornado before anyone asks.
The Strongest, and most expensive attack Meta Knight can preform in Meta Knightmare Ultra. Simply named Mach Tornado in-game, Meta Knight flies up and preforms the Mach Tornado, also summoning forth two Red and Yellow Tornadoes that move in opposite directions, taking out any foe that lands in the wake of it (…or at least anyone on Screen that isn’t Meta Knight or a helper)
Upper Caliber
Growing another set of wings not included.
Upper Caliber is a move that first appears in Kirby: Star Allies. With this move, Meta Knight charges towards the opponent, before moving at rapid speeds, slashing the opponent before doing one last slash that knocks them away. This attack is highly similar to Meta Knight’s new Final Smash in Ultimate, Darkness Illusion, minus the extra pair of wings.
100-Slash Crescent Rush
If Tsubasa from Symphogear played Kirby and the Forgotten Land, she would’ve 100% tried to find a way to do a variant of this with her Blue Flashes
100-Slash Crescent Rush is an attack that first appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, where, true to its name, Meta Knight fires off a countless amount of Crescent Shots at Kirby
Downward Wave Shot
Due to safety concerns, the administration of the Waddle Dee Town Coliseum cannot allow Meta Knight to use his Tornado Slash attack. Thus, he must improvise.
Downward Wave Shot is another attack that appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and it’s activated in a similar matter to Tornado Slash, with him having to plant his sword in the ground to pull off this attack. Unlike Tornado Slash, this attack sends shockwaves that hone into his enemy.
Force Falls
There’s a Star Wars joke here somewhere
Force is a technique that first appears in Kirby Star Allies, as the Jamba Heart that lands nearby Meta Knight unleashes the ambitions that were left in his heart and reawakens the Dark Arts that he once knew (no seriously, he never used this move before Star Allies). With this, he can lift up chunks of the Earth below him and throw it at his enemy. By the time of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, he is able to use this move without tapping into the Dark Arts, as evidenced by Meta Knight not having a dark aura while using this move, alongside being able to levitate MUCH more rocks than he did in Star Allies or Fighters 2.
Valvarad
Alchemy
As with all Kamen Riders in the season (barring Legend), Spanner is an alchemist. Using the power concentrated from his Alchemists’ Ring, he can alter the landscape to his advantage, manipulate objects to strike his enemy, and transmute any blows that could come after him so they could fail, or turn them against the sender.
Black Flame
Some (Ka)men (Riders) just want to see the world burn.
An ability that he, for as of yet unknown reasons, he inherited from the Abysallis King Gigist, the Black Flame is an ability that allows Spanner to create flames from his body that are dark in color, being able to have them take different shapes, such as spikes, as well. Outside of pure combat purposes, the Black Flames also allow Spanner to create a second Valvarusher and transform into his Custom states without the need to use the related Chemy Combinations.
Silver Flames
Last time someone emitted Silver Flames it DIDN’T end well for the school he went to. He had to use his existence to fix things and one of his friends got PTSD from the whole incident.
During his final battle with Gigist, Spanner finally gains full control over the Black Flames, with them evolving into a Silver Color, before transforming into Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane to take Gigist down. Presumably, these function just like the Black Flames do, only stronger
Labarum Analyzer
“Sometimes my genius is… it’s almost frightening.”
A part of his Arsenal while in Valvarad Kurogane state, the Labarum Analyzer is a purple scouter-like object located on Spanner’s left eye. This allows Spanner to analyze his foes’ fighting styles, allowing him to easily counteract whatever his enemies may throw at him once he’s done with the Analysis.
Hand Blasts
“There are Alchemist Union Agents outside of my house.”
As part of Valvarad Kurogane’s arsenal, Spanner can fire off
blasts of energy from his hands. Essentially, they are Repulser Blasts ala Iron Man.
Angelic Destroyer
He’s giving it a shot. He’s taking a shot at it.
The arm parts that are attached to Valvarad when using the Angecopter Custom. The right arm allows him to fire off missiles representive of GekioCopter and the left arm allows him to fire off arrows representive of Angelead. The left arm also allows him fight in this form.
Hopperspeak
Spanner can understand and speak in the native tongue of Hopper1. No seriously, he shows this ability in the penultimate Gotchanime episode.
Valvara Break
Variant of Valvara Break used on the Hawk Malgam
Spanner’s original finishing move as Valvarad. Using the Valvarusher, Valvarad fires off Sword Beams that are strong enough to end the enemy. There are variations to this finisher that rely on what forms Valvarad is currently in, such as using Gekiocopter’s blades to rapidly slash the enemy.
Valvara Crash
Sword Yeet. (Base KR Valvarad variant of Valvara Break listed)
Spanner’s finishing move as Kamen Rider Valvarad. This varies a bit depending on the form used, as normal Kamen Rider Valvarad, he will throw the Valvarusher at the opponent at Top Gear, as OrochiShovel custom, he will toss up his opponent before kicking them, and with AngeCopter custom, he will fire off homing missiles at his enemies, then proceeding to rain arrows on him.
Occult Valvara Burst
Kamen Rider Valvarad is taking you to horny jail personally.
A variant of Valvara Burst that is used when Spanner inserts an Occult Chemy into the Valvarusher, combining their powers with the Valvarusher. Using DaiOni, Spanner can summon forth a giant club that can crush his enemies.
Over Valvara Burst
The only way to defeat an evil Mew is to go Beyond the Blade.
Spanner’s Finishing Move while is in is Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane form. To perform this move, he throws the Valvarusher and Valvarusher II into the air, then proceeds to jump up and kick them at the enemy, imbuing each one with a different flame. Valvarad then proceeds to go and kick the enemy after the Valvarushers impale them, defeating them.
Forms
Meta Knight
This is pretty much it. There’s Waxing Crescent Masked Meta Knight but that’s nonstandard.
This is Meta Knight’s base (and outside nonstandard material, only) form. Not much can be said about what can already be said of this form.
Valvarad
Valvarad
Valvarad the Liberator
The basic form of Valvarad, done by inserting MadWheel into the Valvarusher. Similar in terms of power to Gotchard’s base form, while augmented by his sword fighting capabilities. Unlike Gotchard, however, this is more like a suit of armor than the altered body granted by the Gotchardriver. After he obtained the Valvaradriver, Spanner has only accessed this form once afterwards, in order to fight against Gigist whilst trying to create a new Driver.
Valvarad Customs
Which Gundam Pack do you choose?
By inserting two other vehicle-type Chemies into the Valvarusher whilst transformed into Valvarad, Spanner can achieve powered up forms known as Customs. Inserting Gutshovel grants him the Gutshovel Custom, which gives Spanner a good increase in his punching power, and allows him to scoop up anything, while inserting Gekiocopter grants him the Gekiocopter custom, a form that allows him a limited form of flight. He can even use both Chemies to access a form known as Tri Custom, which gives him both abilities. Tri Custom also allows him to create giant constructs of the custom parts granted by the Chemies.
It should be noted that after gaining the Valvaradriver, he no longer accesses these forms alongside base Valvarad, though if the situation calls for it he can get into these forms, though it’s incredibly unlikely.
Wheel Malgam
“I failed.”
One day, Spanner suddenly received a visit from his parents, truth was, they both died at the hands of Geryon, and they were revived by the Angel Malgam. Why did Geryon do this? To obtain the power of the Black Flame, and with having the Angel Malgam return Spanner’s parents to the land of the dead. Overfilled with Despair from this, Spanner started showing un unbreakable rage against Geryon, whereas a worried MadWheel then came to him… and then Geryon turned him into the Wheel Malgam.
This form allows Spanner to fire off energy wheels, and as a Golden Malgam, in theory he would be able to regenerate from any wound that would befall Spanner. It should be noted that after putting his past behind him, Spanner is incredibly unlikely to be able to access this form again.
Kamen Rider Valvarad
With this, I can make my fraud allegations go away! Or not.
Kamen Rider Valvarad is Spanner’s main transformed state after putting his past behind him and getting the Valvaradriver, formed by the combination of the Chemies MachWheel and Daioni. Kamen Rider Valvarad is, at its core, much stronger than the previous Riders in the series at the time of its debut, being able to take on Kamen Rider Dread and win. It also features a system where he can become more powerful each time he shifts into a gear, until he reaches “Top Gear”, where at that point he’s as strong as he can be at that rate.
Kamen Rider Valvarad Customs
There’s no Tri Custom variant for KR Valvarad before you ask.
Like vanilla Valvarad, Kamen Rider Valvarad has access to Customs as well, enhanced by using a same number combination of . Orochishovel Custom (Obtained by inserting Gutshovel and Jyamotonoorochi into the Valvaradriver) is the equivalent to Gutshovel Custom, allowing Spanner to punch really hard, and with Jyamotonoorochi’s power, can extend the length of his punches so he can reach faraway places. Angecopter Custom (Obtained by inserting Gekiocopter and Angelead into the Valvaradriver) is the equivalent of Gekiocopter Custom, allowing Spanner flight, combined with Angelead’s power, also allows him to fire off arrows and missiles to hit his foe.
Unlike normal Valvarad, however, Spanner cannot combine the two customs forms to form a third custom form.
Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane
“I told you… what a ridiculous joke!”
The Final Form of Kamen Rider Valvarad, accessed by inserting Metal MachWheel and Metal Daioni into the Valvaradriver Kurogane. Spanner attained this form by mastering the Black Flame and evolving it to a Silver Flame, transmuting the new Driver he was working on into the Valvaradriver Kurogane in the process. In this form, Spanner wields both the original Valvarusher and the Valvarusher II in tandem (representing how he’s carrying Lachesis’ dream apparently), and is equipped with a scouter-like object known as the (example) that allows him to analyze his opponent’s moves. He also has his hands be able to fire blasts at will in this form. All of these fancy new toys to play with were more than enough to finally take down Gigist once and for all… and when Geryon revived the Dark Kings in the Final Episode, Spanner took care of Gigist once more as well.
Power & Durability
Meta Knight
As Meta Knight can face off against Magolor with the Master
Crown, he should be at the very least 27 times Universal, due to the Magolor
Soul’s defeat causing Another Dimension to collapse. I should note that Another
Dimension contains 16 other dimensions within it at the time of its initial
collaspe (In Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, there are 15 levels where you fight
off against Sphere Doomers, coupled with the final level being in Another
Dimension as well, alongside there being at least 5 more dimensions in Magolor
Epilogue, coupled with the 5 in Kirby Star Allies’ Heroes in Another Dimension
Mode), alongside adding in the New World, which is indicated to be located in yet another dimension.
Also in Star Allies, in the sub-game The Ultimate Choice, the difficulties Soul Melter and Soul Melter EX feature tougher versions of the Void Termina fight where he can summon 4 Master Crowns, mainly during the part of the third phase where he summons the crown to fire lasers, while non-Canon to the storyline at large, this should buff Meta Knight to 108x Universal.
Disregarding any Univeral scaling from the Master Crown, Meta Knight has been shown to be superior to Galacta Knight at the end of both Meta Knightmare Ultra and Meta Knightmare Returns, who was stated by Star Dream to be able to destroy an entire planet.
Valvarad
Using Legend Rider scaling that, surprisingly, isn’t contained to solely the winter movie this time around due to an arc that features past Riders, Valvarad should be around Infinite Multiversal, due to the Kamen Rider Multiverse being confirmed to be Infinite in size, due to scaling off of Gotchard, who has fought alongside Kamen Rider Legend. The two should at least scale to each other due to fighting in the 46th Episode of the series.
Kamen Rider Legend himself has used the powers of both Kamen Rider Decade and Kamen Rider Zi-O, and his own powers are based off of Decade as well, with some added tricks up his sleeve as well.
On his own, Valvarad has proved himself capable of being superior to a powered-up Gigist, who previously claimed to be able to survive the Dooms Clock going off and destroying the planet, also claiming to be able to remake the planet afterwards. It should be noted that at the time of the statement, Gigist had 33% of the Philosopher’s Stone, and by the time of his death, he had 49.5% of it’s power (As Gaeliah had been defeated the Episode prior_
(Man, if I ever do a KR Legend blog that’s gonna be one hell of a headache.)
Speed
Meta Knight
For this, we have a direct feat that he should be capable of, that being His own feat of returning to Dream Land after defeating Galacta Knight. While Meta Knightmare Ultra isn’t exactly canon to the main timeline, it has been said that sub-games such AS the time attack modes have shown what the cast are capable of doing.
Calculating the exact time Meta Knight appears on frame during the ending cutscene of Meta Knightmare Ultra to the frame where Meta Knight has returned to Dream Land, which should be 8.7 seconds, and going off VSBW claiming the distance between Nova and Pop Star being 100,000 Light Years, Meta Knight should be 362,731,034,482.76 times faster than light.
Valvarad
Unlike Meta Knight, Spanner doesn’t seem to have any real speed feats that he should be capable of that would be really impressive in practice (Unless The Future Daybreak has one or his V-Cinema gives him one), which means we will once again have to go off of Legend Rider scaling. We’re once again going to assume that Legend is equal to Decade at full power, and Spanner should at least proxy scale due to being equally matched with Gotchard. I’m going to use a VSBW feat outright this time around, that being a Speed feat regarding Wizard that seems to actually be viable in comparison to the OTHER Speed feat they give the Heisei riders. This feat is calced to be 13,536,146,500 times faster than light, and again, Valvarad should at the very least proxy scale to this.
On his own, Kamen Rider Valvarad can also travel .745645 Miles in around a minute and 3 seconds, which would put him at 6.29366217355E-8 times the speed of light. However, as the “100m in 5.3 seconds” is listed as a rider stat and is not shown in the series itself, I will only list it as something he should be capable of in-series.

In the end, Spanner spanned the entire galaxy for a way to win, but he wasn’t just Valva-RAD enough to make it Over the Rainbow.
“Victory… is my destiny.”
The Winner is Meta Knight.
